Water Is So Important When It Comes To Health...
and treating chronic illness. Typically here at BOMAMED, we always convert patients from tap/filtered to Spring. Water all over the country and other countries has been found to be contaminated with medication and other toxins that may adversely effect us, and its chlorine content is very high, which, is one very big problem and perhaps contributing factor in creating chronic illness. More issues are pooping up everywhere when it comes to this heated subject.
Here is a three part interesting article:

Vaccine Issues-Everyone Loves Their Children.....
Dear NVIC Advocacy Team Members,
We are sending this NVIC Advocacy Team Alert to all our members to inform you of two bills in the state of Washington, HB1015 and SB5005, that not only threaten vaccine philosophical and religious exemptions for Washington residents but set a dangerous precedent for all Americans who value the ability to utilize a vaccine exemption for their children to delay or decline one or more state mandated vaccines.
1. For a quick multimedia primer on why it is so important for everyone to help fight HB1015 and SB5005 in the state of Washington, please watch NVIC’s short video “WA State Vaccine Law Threatens Exemptions & Violates Privacy”. If we let this happen in Washington, it can happen anywhere.
2. Please forward this email note to everyone you know, especially those in Washington, and post the link to the video, http://www.nvic.org/NVIC-Vaccine-News/February-2011/WA-State-Vaccine-Law-Threatens-Exemptions---Violat.aspx on Facebook, Twitter, blogs, and other social media sites.
Thermography vs. Mammography
when it comes to this subject, I am far from an expert. But, I do like to pass on a good thing when I know about it. Thermography has been one good thing that I have passed on to a few patients asking for alternatives to mammography.
According to my understanding, it is able to detect cancer as it is beginning to occur, far before it becomes a cancer.
And, while this may be true-again, I am not an expert, my good friend has just been diagnosed with breast cancer and she has had mammography regularly and given a clean bill of health.
Now, having said that, this friend has had extraordinary stress the last few months, and one theory that I thought of is that the stress was so severe, perhaps it could have developed suddenly between the time of the last thermography and the time she felt the lump, which was just last week. Again, I am not an expert. But, I wanted to pass this along because it is a modality growing in popularity that even I have suggested to many people, and on the off chance that thermography failed my friend, I want others to know, just in case.

The health of Your Teeth
is so complicated really. And, holistic dentistry is becoming more and more popular these days as an extension of people gravitating toward alternative healthcare for their general health.
Taking care of your teeth starts with eating a healthy diet, drinking healthy water (we at bomamed believe in bottled spring water) and, not eating sugar and alcohol and not drinking sodas and fruit juices and drinks of the like. These things all make a huge difference.
Do you ever wonder why one person gets more cavities than another even though they seem to both take very good care of their teeth in terms of dental hygiene? Diet! It is huge!
But, this article, is very interesting because it takes things to another level. We give our children flouride free toothpaste and they eat as we do-very healthy, and drink really only water and raw milk-almost nothing else. I am thinking even though their teeth are perfect taking the advice of this articel, and I will myself try this, just to see. It is very interesting, and certainly the argument over flouride is not a new one. In some areas of the states, there are class action lawsuits against the government for putting flouride into our water supply:http://www.theepochtimes.com/n2/content/view/50305/
Super Bugs and Why Alternative Medicine is Becoming More and More Important
With resistance to antibiotics growing due to the over use and misuse of antibiotic therapy, more and more people are turning to alternative forms of medicine to treat infections.
There have been many articles written by other researchers such as Dr. Mercola and others on this subject. And, I can add in that we, at BOMAMED have found alternative medicine to be very effective in treating stubborn infections as well.
It is much more difficult for bacteria and fungi to become resistant to the often multi-component type formulas given by alternative doctors and practitioners because resistance is easier to occur with single strain medicines such as antibiotics. And, maybe it is also because supplements and herbs are aimed at more than the infection itself.
This is a frightening trend in Western medicine and may be an area where one can find other solutions with alternative medical care in chronic infectious situation as well as acute.

Life Is An Evolution
of ourselves, of our being, and of our health. The following article is not really about health, but, it is. Because, if we look at so many aspects of our being, we realize that those things effect our health.
This article is quite though provoking in that it brings up some thoughts about where we are, what we are doing, and where we are going. It is a great read! http://www.cnn.com/2011/LIVING/01/26/o.questions.change.your.life/index....
Water and Flouride
I speak about the importance of water on both this site and the ICAMA.org site endlessly. There are countless issues across the board that relate to health as well as disease. Not being a water scientist, much of what I know I impart to others based on my experience and not on science. But, what I do try to do as often as possible, is pass on articles that others more knowledgable than I scientifically, publish on the internet or in some other media format.
This article is Dr. Mercolas's on the subject of water and flouride:http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2011/01/22/does-fluoride-really-fight-cavities.aspx
Food Coloring
In trying to help our children avoid eating foods that contribute ot health and behavioral problems, it is wise to not only think of the obvious things such as excess sugar, sugar substitutes like splenda and other artificial sweeteners, but, also to remember food coloring. If the food is bright and "glowing" I always tell our children to not eat it! A cild should ask herself how a food became the color it is. And, if it does not look like it could get that color by using real food, then the rule is, say "no thank you". We obviously can read and can make those decisions, but, how often are your children away from you at school or a birthday party or a play date and are given foods that are artificially sweetened. It is amazing to witness the very clearly delineated upward swing of bad behavior that will be expressed in a child shortly after consuming such foods. And, if eaten over time, real behavioral problems can set in. This holiday season think twice: http://www.naturalnews.com/030761_Christmas_cookies_food_coloring.html
Are We Doing Everything We Can For Our Children
We try to buy all organic food, limit the sugar intake we give our children, feed them whole grains, read labels on their bubble bath and shampoo, get them a non-toxic tooth paste, buy them toys that are not ridden with lead and other toxins, not let them develop a bounce house habit (also toxic lead exposure), and the list goes on! But, what about dental radiation and other toxins from certain kinds of dental practices? I have met two adult patients whos mouths and health have been severely adversely effected by inappropriate dental work.
REad this interesting article on dental radiation:
Because children and adolescents are particularly vulnerable to radiation, doctors three years ago mounted a national campaign to protect them by reducing diagnostic radiation to only those levels seen as absolutely necessary.
It is a message that has resonated in many clinics and hospitals. Yet there is one busy place where it has not: the dental office.
